While Molly's always had a strong appreciation and passion for design, she got her start in the fashion world, working for global brands Theory and Helmut Lang. During this time, Molly and her husband moved into a tiny studio apartment next to the Empire State Building and documented its transformation into a beautiful, livable home via “Designing A Tiny Empire.” The experience made her want to learn more about the interior design field, explore opportunities in residential and commercial design and ultimately transition into a new career.
After making the leap, Molly studied interior design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and worked at celebrated firms Cullman & Kravis and Studio Sofield. She also helped launch One King’s Lane’s showroom concept “The Studio at One King’s Lane” as its first In-House Interior Designer.
Designing A Tiny Empire grew into DATE Interiors. Molly currently works with residential and commercial clients in NYC and Brooklyn with a wide range of styles, budgets and sizes. With a focus on mastering the perfect blend of form and function in all details of a project, the end results are lovingly crafted spaces with a casual, yet refined aesthetic and her signature touches of whimsy.
